ORDER AMENDING MCLE
At its public meeting on May 21, 2002, the court considered and approved proposed amendments to Minimum Continuing Legal Education Rule 5.5, submitted by the Oregon State Bar Board of Governors.
IT HEREBY IS ORDERED that the Oregon State Bar Minimum Continuing Legal Education Rules are amended as set out below, effective the date of this order. Deleted text is bracketed and set out in italics. New text is in boldface.
5.5 Professional Responsibility Credits.
(a) In order to be accredited as a professional responsibility activity in legal ethics and professionalism under Rule 3.3, an activity shall be devoted to the study of judicial or legal ethics [and professional responsibility] or professionalism, and shall include discussion of applicable judicial conduct codes, disciplinary rules, or statements of professionalism.
(b) Portions of activities also may be accredited for purposes of satisfying the professional responsibility requirement, if the professional responsibility content of the activity is clearly defined.
