Office of Education, Training, and Outreach (OETO)

The OETO group's mission is to develop, create, and provide:

  •       Effective and comprehensive Judicial Education – A week-long seminar for new judges; Coordination of education programs for annual judicial conferences; Judicial Practical Training; Coordination and development of Judicial Regional CLE’s and other in-state and out-of-state educational opportunities.
  •       OJD employee development through Staff Education – Statewide New Employee Orientation Program; Judicial Support Staff Program; Peer Information Exchanges (PIE); Clerk College; and other skill and knowledge building programs.
  •       Online Training Modules offering statewide electronic accessibility to “anytime” training –Computer Based Training (CBT) Modules that develop prerequisite computer skills for Oregon eCourt Program software; CBTs that provide general security training for judges and staff.
  •       Oregon eCourt Communications and Materials – Design, develop, and produce: the Oregon eCourt newsletter: TheQUARTERLY; the Oregon eCourt Internet Website; Oregon eCourt posters, brochures, and presentations; and materials for legislative outreach including documents and presentations.
  •        Oregon eCourt Organizational Change Management (OCM) – Implemented statewide, OCM is a program to transition internal and external stakeholders, as well as the public to the new Oregon eCourt environment. The program focus is on Organizational Readiness – the people side of change; Operational Readiness – (business processes); Communication – building awareness of the need for change; Training – developing skills and knowledge for the new environment.
