Oregon Supreme Court Implementation Committee: A Commitment to Fairness (January 1996) |
This report followed up on the status of recommendations by the Racial/Ethnic Task Force on Racial Issues in the Justice System (1994). The Implementation Committee found that most entities affected by the Task Force recommendations agreed with the report's conclusions and were working to address them. The Implementation Progress Report described those efforts and summarized model programs, procedures, and legislation to support a bias-free justice system. It also recommended steps to continue implementation, including establishing a formal process to coordinate and oversee ongoing efforts. |
